More Mixtures of Green Watercolor

Homework for next week:

We discussed mixing nice greens and compound greens. That is, we talked about how to choose blues and yellows to mix bright greens. We also mixed compound greens that are more earthy.

The assignment over the week is to do a quick thumbnail sketch of a landscape using pencil or pen and overlay some quick color washes to show where the colors change in the view and then do a longer, but somewhat impressionistic watercolor painting of that composition. I'll send a couple of samples. (from those I showed in class)
Work outside from life or a photo or both. Try not to overwork these. Less is more! Be impulsive in your approach.
